Kelcie’s Paint Mines Senior Session | Denver Senior Photographer

I had the pleasure to capture Kelcie’s Adventure Senior Session at the Paint Mines in September and it was absolutely magical!

Paint Mines Senior Session

My first time at the Paint Mines for a session and it did not disappoint. I could not be more happy with how Kelcie’s portraits turned out. The trails were easy to access from the parking lot which was a huge plus! This location offered many options for her portraits. We were able to get beautiful epic shots with the landscape. This will give her unique portraits from her classmates. Kelcie incorporated a football jersey into her session which was a fun and personal touch to her session, as she helps manage the Bennett High School Football team. One of the things I love about senior sessions is getting to chat and learn more about them. Kelcie plans to graduate early from High School and start college early where she will be entering into a nursing program.

Some Tips for planning your Paint Mines Senior Session

In hopes of booking more Paint Mines Senior session, here are a few tips to planning your session at this location.

+ Just like any other hiking adventure or outdoor session, make sure you have plenty of water and an easy snack. Luckily the weather for Kelcie’s session was absolutely perfect with a little cloud cover and a light breeze.

+ I brought a head lamp to the session just in case we ended a little after sunset. When reading the trail information it advised to make sure hikers had a light of some kind. It could become easy to get disoriented in the dark. You can find information about the trails here.

+ Wear a pair of shoes to walk and hike to different spots that will provide support. We didn’t have any issues but I could see a potential hazard with wearing heels on the rock formations as it didn’t have a ton of traction. It’s always easy to get to a spot for the next set of photos and change out shoes quickly.
