Colorado Senior Session locations with a Mountain View

• Chautauqua park
• Bear Creek Lake Park – There is an entrance fee to enter but it has a beautiful lake and depending on the season tall grass with a view of the foothills.
• White Ranch Park East Trailhead – The photo above was take here. This is a beautiful area nestled inside the foothills. If you want mountain vibes relatively close to Denver, this is your senior session location.
• Sapphire Point Overlook – This is a bit of a drive to Dillion, Colorado. But worth it for the epic view. Especially at Golden hour.

Senior session locations in Colorado with Rock formations

• Red Rocks – There are so many great spots inside the Red Rocks area and they aren’t all at the venue itself. You just need to double check their calendar to make sure they don’t have an event planned so it’s not packed.
• Lost Gulch Overlook – This has an epic view of the mountains ontop of the rock face. No worries, there is plenty of rock without having to get too close to the edge if you’re afraid of heights. In addition, to the rock formation and epic mountain views, there is also easy access to a wooded area and a road for variety at your senior session.

Downtown Denver Senior Session locations

• Union Station – This offers a fun indoor stop with a cool coffee shop. All of which is downtown Denver to get tons of variety at your senior session.
• Milk Market – This area has some fun graffiti walls and a pretty cool parking garage that is perfect at golden hour.
• Colfax ave – There are numerous walls that offer a unique urban background with all the graffiti art.
• Botanical Gardens – There is a photography permit that is required of $100 but is a beautiful and unique spot for senior portraits in Denver.
• Washington Park – With a little pond at the center there is a small manicured flower garden that makes for a great setting as well.

Unique Colorado Senior Session locations

• Great Sand Dunes National Park – About a 4 hour drive from Denver, Colorado. However, if you want an adventure experience for your senior session, this is your spot. And I am your girl! I love traveling for Colorado senior sessions. There is a park permit that is required to take portraits here but totally worth it! You can also think about talking a friend or two into taking their senior session here as well to reduce the cost of the permit and travel fees.
• Pawnee National Grasslands – This spot is near Ault, Colorado and it’s a beauty! If you are lucky to catch a thunderstorm the sky can be pretty epic! I LOVE this spot.
• Paint Mines – The picture above was shot here. The rocks are a beautiful white, cream and hues of pink and orange. Plus there is a nice roadway and field by the parking lot that also make a great backdrop. However, the last time I was out there, there was no bathroom. So that just has to be planned for.
