2021 Amazon Wishlist for the Beginner Photographer

With the holiday season approaching, I figured it was time I update the Beginner Photographer Amazon Wishlist guide. So here it is… the 2021 Amazon Wishlist for the Beginner Photographer. To make it super simple I have found an amazing starter camera for even the truly beginner photographer who is ready to step up from their phone camera. By no means, is all the equipment necessary. However, it will give you a good variety of tools that will help you capture amazing images anywhere! So lets dive on in…

Beginner Essentials & Extras

  1. Nikon D5600 w/ Nikkor 18-55mm Lens: This bundle also includes a Sandisk 64GB High Speed Class 10 SD Memory Card, battery, charger, neck Strap and Extreme Electronics Lens Cleaning Cloth. This bundle is a great starter as the camera will give great functionality at a great price. As well as, includes a lens that is perfect for portraits. Canon Equivalent: Canon Rebel T6

2. Backup Nikon EN-EL14a Battery: The Above Nikon D5600 w/lens kit will come with one battery and a charger. However, I like to have a back up battery just in case. This link will direct you to the battery itself! Extra Battery for Canon

3. JOBY Tripod for DSLRS: This tripod is awesome for outings when you want to take a group photo that also contains you! I found that the flexible legs make for an easy setup compared to traditional tripods.

4. SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB: I have a million of these and they work great for me! I have found that they can hold around 400ish RAW files and around 4000ish JPEG files.

5. Nikon 85mm F1.8 Lens: I own this lens and I love it. This is one of my primary portrait lenses! It’s low aperture capability allows for beautiful bokeh backgrounds of your portraits. Canon Equivalent

6. Memory Card Case: I use this to carry my memory cards in my backpack. Before I bought a case I was consistently misplacing my memory cards because of how small they are.

7. Canvas Camera Backpack: This backpack is great for a DSLR camera body and 1-2 lenses depending on their size. It has an organization compartment to keep your gear safe and the dividers can also be removed to use as a normal backpack as well.

8. Adobe Creative Cloud Plan: This specific plan gives you access to Lightroom (my one stop shop for ALL my editing) and Photoshop. I love this subscription because I can not only use it on my computer but my Ipad AND my phone! If you want to edit on your phone (which I do ALOT, especially for everyday photos). You create, 1 (ONE) account, and then are able to access it across all devices. You can download the Lightroom App for FREE on your phone and then login into your account for access to ALL the editing options.

9. Nikon 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 Lens: This lens will be great to use for your littles activities where you will need a good zoom lens. Canon Equivalent.
