I am finally sharing our photos from our wedding day on 9.19.2020. My talented friend Shallyn Michelle Photography captured our day and I could not be more in love with them! I thought it would be fun to share the amazing vendors we used for wedding on 9.19.2020. As well as, how we saved money and DIYed some projects. All the vendors were incredible to work with and went above and beyond for our day. So here is a photo dump from our day 9.19.2020
My bouquet and CJ’s boutonniere were created by Ardent Rose Floral. I would highly recommend her for your special day. She also sells fresh arrangements throughout the year as well which is always fun. So if you enjoy having fresh florals in your home.
Our invitation suite was one area where I chose to save some money and DIY. I knew I wanted to have a keepsake invitation suite. However, I just couldn’t wrap my head around spending a couple thousand dollars for the invitations I wanted. So enter my DIY enthusiasm and my Cricut. I ordered colored envelopes and vellum, used thrifted vintage stamps and I hand tore watercolor paper. Next, I printed a floral pattern, a frog (for my grandma), an eagle (which had meaning for both my grandparents and CJ’s), rsvp and invite. Last, I used my Cricut to address the envelopes and create the floral patter on the vellum that held the suite together inside the envelope. This was an easy DIY for me to tackle and I actually really enjoyed it.
Another area I decided to DIY was our vow books. Again, I used hand torn watercolor paper and ordered strips of velvet and chiffon to hand tie our vow books together. When you are contemplating a DIY for your day I would recommend DIYing something you really think you enjoy doing and can do with relative ease. I felt that all the projects for our day that I DIYed did not cause me added stress and was actually a fun project to take on.
I purchased my dress and veil from Dani West Bridal Boutique in Erie, Co. They were hands down the best experience for someone who isn’t super into dresses. I was so excited during the whole process and I felt so good about the dress I chose.
My dad created our arches and found antique doors to attach to them. They now are arches we use over our walkway to the house. I love having them to use everyday.
Niether CJ or I are into cake. So we decided on doughnuts. We used Dapper Doughnuts and they were AMAZING. Everybody loved them. Best decision for our dessert.
