Have you ever heard of those Cap and Gown sessions? If not, thats okay! Cap and Gowns are done before your graduation ceremony, after you receive your cap and gown from the school. They are a fun way to end and celebrate your High school career as well as, fun portraits to add to your senior portraits. Here are 3 reasons to book a Cap and Gown session this spring! Before I dive in be sure to join my Seniors of ALP Facebook Group to get helpful tips and tricks, inspiration, ideas, enter into giveaways and much more.
You didn’t have the opportunity to take Senior Portraits professionally
Not everyone is able to get senior portraits done professionally, thats okay! I recommend in this case, having a professional photographer take your Cap and Gown session. In my experience, it gives you the opportunity to receive images that would be able to be used for resumes, applications, etc. During the Cap and Gown session we do about half the session with your Cap and Gown. The other half in the one to two outfits you selected to wear. As well as, professional Senior photographers (like me lol) will provide you a fun, stress free and enjoyable experience. I love spending time getting to know you prior to you Cap and Gown so we can include fun and personalized memorabilia into your session.
Fun way to end your Senior year
This is big deal, you are graduating High school! It’s time to celebrate your accomplishment and look forward to the next chapter in your life. A Cap and Gown session allows you to do just that! I love hearing your plans after High School graduation, it’s so exciting to be apart of your transition. Cap and Gowns are an opportunity to bring a friend or two and get some group shots of you guys all together. You guys might be headed in two different directions so why not get some fun photos done together and create some memories.
Decorating your graduation party
Lastly, print them out for your graduation party! Generally schools give you your Cap and Gowns in enough time to get your session and photos printed! You can use them as part of your guest book, get a photo printed on your cake, etc.
