Lexi’s Senior session was one for the books, we explored downtown Denver, Red Rocks and ended our session at Bear Creek Lake! We even made a pit stop at Chick-Fil-A!

Lexi did such an amazing job styling each of her outfit choices. I am always so pumped when my seniors really get into picking out their outfits and styling! Not to mention all her ideas for her session itself. In Denver we stopped at Union Station and Starbucks, which were both really important to her. On the way out of Denver we stopped at Chick-Fil-A for dinner, which you know I was NOT complaining about. We ended the second half of her session at Red Rocks and finally Bear Creek Lake! We got to Bear Creek Lake right at the start of golden hour and it was so beautiful! Lexi got plenty of portraits with some gorgeous glowy light and it was the perfect setting with the mountain backdrop.

Styling Tips for your Senior session

+ Wear layers, this adds dimension and contrast in your images! It also gives us some room to mix things up with outfits as well.

+ Accessories! It is always better to have more than not enough! Be sure to mix and match accessories in between outfits!

+ Hats, scarves, etc. These are so much fun to add in because you can add some very flattering poses that accentuate your accessories in a subtle way.

What to know about Bear Creek Senior Session

+ The entrance fee to Bear Creek Lake is $10, which is very reasonable. However, what I didn’t realize until after the session is they also offer an annual pass which ranges between $30-$35 depending on residency of Lakewood. This area became a popular location request after Lexi’s session, so next year I will be purchasing the annual pass.

+ There is areas where you can step into the water, so if you are a senior and want some “in the water” shots, be sure to plan shoes and an outfit that will make for great water portraits.
